Esports in Rural America

  • I think eSports can be a great opportunity for young people. In our area, they have already tried to hold local Fortnite tournaments. It has generated a lot of interest, even adults have joined in. I think we need to attract sponsors to provide the kids with computers and a good connection. It is also important that parents see this not just as a game, but as a real opportunity. Then this direction will have a future.

  • This is a very interesting question! In fact, esports are already starting to penetrate rural areas. I recently read an article about this: https://fizara.com/esports-in-rural-america/ . They describe how such initiatives can become not only entertainment, but also a way to unite young people. Access to the Internet and equipment plays a big role, but there are already examples of successful projects in rural schools. Tournaments organized at the local level show that there is huge interest. The main thing is support from the local community.

  • I live in a small town where everyone is busy with farming or working in local stores. I recently wondered if esports could become popular in rural America. We don’t have a lot of entertainment, and many young kids play games, but as a hobby. Do you think there are prospects for this direction to develop here?
