Rosa multiflora

This single herb tincture is prepared using the petals, leaves and hips of the wild roses here in Connecticut.  The flowers were collected in the early Summer, just after blooming while the hips, the fruits, were collected in the late fall, after the first frost. Combining blooms and the hips creates a formula that spans a larger section of the rose's life cycle and captures a fuller picture of the plant as a whole.  Organic, non-gmo vegetable glycerine was added to the mix to play upon the innate sweetness of rose.

The rose is a long time symbol of love and beauty, while the wild rose, rosa multiflora, is often ignored or regarded as nothing but weed.  While the little white petals may not be as glamorous, they still smell marvelous and provide much of the same herbal actions.  The little reddish-orange hips are still chock full of vitamin C.

Rose is a gentle nervine and with its analgesic and antidepressant properties, it can help bring upon a sense of calm and peace, an excellent ally in times of great sadness and grief. The soothing nature of rose makes it great support for anger, frustration, mild anxiety, headache as well as sore throat.
