You are not alone, I had a similar problem when I started shopping online. I also thought that trying on clothes with the help of AI was just another marketing ploy, but in reality it turned out to be much more interesting. I started using Fit Room a few months ago, and I really liked the way this technology works. The idea is that you enter your parameters (height, weight, body type) and the system creates a virtual model of you. Then you can “try on” clothes, choosing them from the assortment of stores that use this platform. The technology works quite accurately, but, as with any new system, there are some nuances. For example, FitRoom does a good job of showing how basic items will fit, such as T-shirts, jeans or dresses. I used this system to choose a couple of summer dresses, and, frankly, I was pleasantly surprised. The clothes fit like on a virtual model, and they also looked perfect on me. However, with more complex items, for example, suits or clothes made of thicker fabrics, the system does not always cope perfectly. For example, in the case of suits, it is important to consider how the fabric behaves in motion - FitRoom does not take this into account yet.
