Orange Sherbert Ice Cream

The days are hot and long. After dinner, you’re craving something cold and sweet, yet tart and tangy. Delicious and also nostalgic, reminiscent of when summer days were full of seemingly endless hours to fill with whatever your heart desired. What’s the answer? Orange sherbert, of course! (And yes we know it’s actually sherbet, without the second “r,” but admit it: You say sherbert. Most of us do. It’s more fun that way.) That classic frozen dessert that’s not quite sorbet, not quite ice cream, but some kind of perfect blend of the two, flavored with juicy orange and the slightest hint of vanilla. It’s not full-on creamsicle, folks; it’s juuuuust the right amount. Anyone else want to take a walk to the ice cream shop for a scoop of sherbert?
