Mostly Void, Partially Stars with Welcome To Night Vale
-
A Southwest American desert at night: hot, slightly salty sand, white thyme, Dalmatian sage, rosemary, smoky air, patches of moss on jagged rock.
-
Welcome to Night Vale, a small desert town where the friendly voice of the community radio station keeps everyone up-to-date on local news, like the Forbidden Dog Park (no dogs or humans allowed) or the hooded figures often seen in Grove Park. The radio is a comforting companion while the dry, smoky breeze blows across the desert under a dark sky that is nearly empty except the distant stars, and the terrible moon, and the unidentified hovering lights, and the government helicopters monitoring our activity. The sky reminds us that we live in a universe that is mostly void, partially stars. But we all live in that universe together. It’s nice to have you here.
