Unsolicited Life Advice From Judy, a Sad Clown:

Hello, my name is Judy and I am a sad clown. First, a little about me. Why am I a sad clown? Because I was already a regular person who was sad all the time, and I figured, might as well do something funny, even if I'm kinda sad. Being a clown doesn't really make me less sad, but being sad makes for a better clown. Better for a clown to have the full range of emotions rather than just those ones there at the tippy top, ya know?

Now, my absolutely unsolicited life advice from a professional sad person is: Make a gingerbread house. Make it however you want. From a kit. From scratch. Super sloppy or meticulously detailed. Make little candy decorations for it like trees or animals, and maybe even do those little stained glass window things where you melt candies into the gingerbread window frames. 

Then, and this is crucial, do whatever you want with it. Eat it. Smash it. Set it out on the counter and let it become an ant palace. Gift it to a friend and snicker as they try to figure out what to do with it. Imagination is the only limit. And that's the key, my friends, imagination. Lean on your imagination in your sadness and let it hold you. 

Eat a whole freaking gingerbread house if that helps. 

Just remember that you can still make a gingerbread house no matter what misery has befallen you 🙂
