With everything that’s happening in the world on any given day, it’s easy to fall into the trap of being negative, angry, disdainful, etc., with everyone and everything around us. Add on annoying things that happen in our daily lives and it seems downright impossible to feel or be anything besides the worst impulses of our basic nature. We can get so wrapped up in the negative that we forget that we have the opposite as well: our better angels. Even if we haven’t used their guidance in a while, our better angels are there to remind us that we can choose to be kind, loving, and gentle, even on our worst days. While the temptation to “go low” might always be there, may your better angels always persevere and remind you that you can always be a kinder, gentler human with yourself and everyone around you.

Better Angels exemplifies beauty in simplicity. The earthy comfort of the black tea is lifted by the floral perfection of peony, and tonka adds a richness. I layer this scent with Suc’s Paeonia and a spritz or two of a black tea essential oil spray to deepen the experience. Tea scents are incredibly comforting to me and this is definitely a favorite.
**Redhead Review** Byzantine is my favorite perfume, but I wasn't sure what exactly makes it so enticing. After purchasing Better Angels, I now know it's the black tea! Better Angels has become an immediate daily wear favorite. It starts out with the sweet peony floral, but the bitterness of the black tea really shines through it settles. An absolute olfactory masterpiece. I've already ordered another bottle.
I’m not sure what went wrong with this one for me. These are usually good scent notes for me. Unfortunately this turns into hot, floral, cat litter on me.
I decided to trust my intuition and bought a big bottle of Better Angels based on the picture and scent profile. I'm so glad I did! Fresh out of the box it smells amazing (even though I know you're supposed to let it rest). It's floral but not flowery, with a sweetness that's sophisticated not cloying. I absolutely love it and wish I could describe the scent better!
I absolutely LOVE the Better Angels fragrance and am really hoping they bring it back because I received it in last year’s advent calendar but missed the window to purchase a full size bottle. This fragrance is so beautifully done. My mother loves collecting angel items and this fragrance reminds me of a gift set I got my mother when I was young that was filled with angel themed soaps and bath items that smelled divine. It’s hard to describe the scent as anything other than angelic. Better Angels is like a fresh floral but with some depth that’s almost reminiscent of a leather note, it must be the tonka note giving that effect. So well done. Chefs kiss!
I really like this one for days needing some extra energy. For me, the tea layer of scent comes across with just a hint of smoke. I like to think about biblically accurate angels, all bright glory -- and also probably lethal.
