Sometimes I remember that after caterpillars spin themselves up into their own personal hidey-holes, they turn to goo. It's not just that they get a little gooey, THEY FULLY TURN TO GOO. This perplexing fun fact has me feeling a lot better about when I am going through a major struggle and can't be bothered to wash my face or run the dishwasher. After the goo phase, after growing wings and rearranging itself back into an actual creature, the butterfly just pokes its head out and pretends like nothing happened.
No goo to see here.
I'm going to do that from now on. I'm just going to show up in a great outfit, smelling awesome, and pretend like that didn't just happen.
Oh thanks! Yes, these wings are new. SOTD is Chrysalis.
