The bottle you see pictured is made locally by a sweet couple... We can pop in and say hi. They're the same team that makes the bottles for Old Gods of Appalachia. They laser engrave the bottles, then apply the color and sealer by hand. That means that each bottle will have tiny differences.
The Magnus Archives is a weekly horror fiction anthology podcast examining what lurks in the archives of the Magnus Institute, an organisation dedicated to researching the esoteric and the weird. Join new head archivist Jonathan Sims as he attempts to bring a seemingly neglected collection of supernatural statements up to date, converting them to audio and supplementing them with follow-up work from his small but dedicated team. Individually, they are unsettling. Together they begin to form a picture that is truly horrifying because as they look into the depths of the archives, something starts to look back… The official continuation of the show, The Magnus Protocol, launched in January 2024, wherever you find podcasts. I think this scent is a great example of what makes Suc so unique. While I don't think I'll buy a bigger bottle of this one, I'm still impressed! I truly smell lime and ozone and they're somehow appealing together. It makes my nose feel a little tingly. So totally different from any other fragrance.
I absolutely LOVED this perfume. I bought both of the magnus archives scents, and ex altiora is definitely my favorite of the two. I have a hard time describing scents, so the following is the best I can do. This is a kind of witchy, mysterious scent, but it still smells pretty clean, the other witchy scents I have from sucreabeille are more musky and deep? I think is how I would describe them. Ex altiora is not a very "feminine" scent, but I don't think I would call it a "masculine" scent either. When I run out I will definitely be buying more.
I wore this scent to work until the 10ml spray bottle ran dry, and my coworkers all agreed I smelled great. It's a lot harder to be self-conscious when you smell like a literal force of nature. It's sharp and clean, but light. When I took my breaks in my car, I could smell it filling the space and giving me a boost of energy. I just got the full 1oz bottle, and I plan to keep buying it until you stop making it. It's my signature scent now!
Fascinatingly electric citrus that feels like being surrounded by infinite static. It's somehow especially interesting when exposed to heat, such as blasting the heat in your car on a cold day.
This is a gorgeous fragrance of freshly sliced limes, at least on my skin. I didn’t get any ozone at all, and the sample smelled of limes in the sample bottle, too.
My skin amps citrus, too, and tends to drink up fragrance. With Suc fragrances in general, I get up to 24 hours from one application of an EdP. This one lasted only a few hours.
This is a scent I did not think I was looking for. It makes me nostalgic. It turns to mind the scent of warm electronics from the late 80s-early 90s and old books.
Which is exactly what my childhood was like! Now if I could just stop feeling like the sky is trying to suck me in, everything would be great!
I ordered the samle size of Ex Altiora ad Jon and Martin. I tried on both and I cannot decide which one I like better! Ex altiora smells citrusy, sharp and faintly sweet and it's a nice and bold scent while not being too strong on me. Jon and Martin smells really good too, but it kinda fades into my skin a bit and becomes hard to notice but I kinda like that too! As soon as I have the money to buy full size bottles of each, I will! They both smell so good and I can't wait until I have a reason to wear some nice perfume out!
i ordered both sample vials of the Magnus Archives perfume collection, ex altiora and jon & martin- they’re smaller than i thought, but they’re lasting much longer than i thought too! i just use a qtip and dab some on and that works fine. ex altiora has a nice, citrusy peppery scent that is quite sharp. i do enjoy wearing it, though sometimes it can give me a headache if i’m feeling overstimulated that day (which i guess is fitting for the vast!). :-)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this scent!! Usually I get headaches from strong smells, but not this. It's,refreshing and nice, and it's so completely unique that finding the words to describe it isn't easy... the bottle is beautiful, and subreabeille is beyond generous sending out little samples/drams with purchases. And stickers!!!
Cannot recommend enough!
Ex Altiora smells absolutely wonderful! But! It totally disappears 5 minutes after hitting my skin 😔 I even asked my husband and he couldn’t smell it either. I may try adding to a cotton ball in my bra or a bit on my hair.

Thank you for your review! Sometimes adding a layer of an unscented lotion can help with the perfume's longevity.
Honestly, I usually don't love perfumes and strong smells because they give me headaches, so impulse buying these samples was a very risky move on my part. The Ex Altiora one, though!!! Man, oh man.
It's incredible! Light and refreshing, like stepping outside before the rain (but without any of the humidity). It's so unique, and it's pretty much perfect on my skin.
I waited 2 weeks and I'm still so in love that I bought a full size bottle (the first ever bottle of perfume I've ever bought).
I love the smell so much, every time I catch a whiff on my wrists I pause to enjoy it.
If this is ever going to be discontinued I NEED a heads up so I can stock up on every ounce you've got left. Love this stuff.
I have ordered this together with Jon and Martin, almost as soon as I learned that finally international shipping to my country became available for them. I ordered the full bottle of this too, taking a risk, but not regretting it. It is indeed quite the electric zap of energy to my brain. While J&M soothes me, Ex Altiora wakes me up without the need of caffeine. It's a pleasant, albeit sharper scent, helping me be ready and remain mentally present when work becomes a little dull.
There wasn't much to go off based on the description on what the scent would smell like, the main reason I bought it was because I love the podcast the perfume is based on. But once I wore it for the first time, it was instantly one of my favorites. It kind of smells like an early morning after it rained and the clouds are still out, like it has a very clean and sharp smell to it. It's vaguely sweet and like some kind of citrus. It has a good wear time, 8+ hours its what i personally found, i dont know much about perfume so i dont know if this helps anyone. The only reason I would give it 4/5 stars would be because it's a pretty interesting scent to get used to at first, so I don't think it's going to be something I put on everyday. It's still a really good scent! And also the spray cap is kinda tilted and it makes it a little hard to spray, I've tried fixing it but it still works so I guess it's okay.
I got the sample size of this for the holidays (as I've come to really enjoy TMA and the concept of The Vast) and OMG!! I don't know how you guys did it but I think this is my new #1 scent! It's rolling down the window to smell the cold air of a mountain peak + the fizz from a cola-flavored gummy candy. I ordered a full-sized bottle after a few days of trying it out cuz I forsee myself wearing it daily :)
Exceptional! This was a blind buy and I’m so glad I got the big bottle. This scent makes me happy. It’s bubbles tickling your nose. Ozone and aldehydes and lightning. Fizzy bubbles from that first sip of McDonalds Sprite on a hot summer evening.
I bought the 1ml size to sample and absolutely love it! It's sweet and peppery with an electric tang. If you can remember the smell of being really close to an old tube TV while it's running, then this is pretty spot on. Such a unique scent, and I love it!
So this was my second time buying from here! The first time was with the Jon Martin scent which j absolutely LOVED. This one wasn't exactly what I was expecting (I wasn't sure what to expect) but it's become one of my daily wears! The best way I can describe the scent is a SHARP clean. It smells very fresh, and I think the sharp scent is meant to be the ozone? It's very nice! I also like that it's a gender neutral scent(as is the Jon Martin) so I'm very comfortable wearing it! 10/10!!!
We weren’t sure what to expect since my partner and I haven’t explored perfume much, but I was surprised by just how much I enjoyed Ex Altiora! I’m definitely thinking about returning for the full bottle!
It smells sharp, fresh, and lightly aquatic. I really enjoy a sharper smell, so it was super up my alley.
My partner, on the other hand, said it reminded him of cleaning product in a good way. That something about it really stuck with him and that he held onto the scent in his memory for a while after smelling it.
I have never smelled a perfume quite like Ex Altiore before, and I can confidently say I'm going to purchase the full-sized bottle. It's such an electric smell that takes you right into every episode where the book was featured. I physically cannot describe just how in love I am with this scent, but if you're even considering buying it, I'd say go for it and get the sample. It's absolutely worth it.
Absolutely love the scent! Shipping was very quick and everything came packaged nicely and securely! Definitely worth it, and will be reordering when I run out.
I bought "Blood and Bone," "Ex Altiora," and "Jon and Martin" in January and I LOVEDD all of them!! Ex Altiora was my favorite of the bunch though! Not the strongest scent ever but it is wonderful and lasts a longg time! Put it on your clothes or hair if it doesn't last long on the skin ;-)
I like it! As a guy I'd never even thought to mess around with perfume but I like it a lot. Kinda wish it smelled more like what its billed as and less like citrus. Ozone and old books would be harder to get right but I'd been hoping it'd be more out there.
i already love the other magnus archives perfume that sucreabeille makes, so i've been wanting to try this one too. omg.....i want to BATHE in this. i don't know what it is about this scent, but it's like catnip to me. (apparently i would fall head over heels for The Vast....iykyk) the way it complements my body chemistry is just...it's addicting. i ordered two sample vials and i've already blasted through the first one in a month, soooo looks like i'm getting a full size bottle of this as soon as i can!
I love Ex Altiora! The scent makes me relive my youth sitting in the park with a stack of library books! It’s amazing how you have made it smell like both an overcast day and that wonderful smell of books from the library! Amazing!
