We started with their love of a hot cuppa tea, and added haunting notes to bring you into the archives themselves, surrounded by racks upon racks of old books. This blend also showcases our brand new amber accord featuring labdanum (rock rose), rich benzoin resin, and vanilla, the three classic notes of this accord.
The bottle you see pictured is made locally by a sweet couple... We can pop in and say hi. They're the same team that makes the bottles for Old Gods of Appalachia. They laser engrave the bottles, then apply the color and sealer by hand. That means that each bottle will have tiny differences. I think the only change I would have made is getting Ex Altiora as the 1oz and JonMartin as the rollerball, as I enjoy the scent of the former a tad more, though both are wonderful. JonMartin definitely smells better to me once it's dry compared to right out of the bottle, and I'm very glad I allowed it to rest first, as the heat wave going on when it arrived did the scent no favors. The scent gives me both the vibes of being down in the archives and attempting to sort through Gertrude's mess but also of being in a old and possibly haunted, gothic style university library. Perfect for the season!
LOVE this scent! Sweet but subdued, very tea-forward, and (imo) a perfect blend of the two characters. So happy to have the option for sample sizes - definitely gave me all the confidence I needed to get the larger bottle. Packaging was great and shipping was relatively quick! Definitely recommend :)
absolutely in love with my perfume, it smells like im wearing a comforting hug any time i wear it. the packaging was immaculate, and arrived two days earlier than expected! my friends are getting sick and tired of me bc i simply cant shut up about this perfume (and company)
I loved the scent so much and it really reminded me of the source material! It’s almost earthy, which I find quite pleasant, and it really reminds me of old books. My only complaints are the formula is a bit greasy, which has shown up when I spray it on my clothes, and it seems to wear off relatively quickly. Other than that, wonderful.
I would love to repurchase it if they fix the greasy issue.
The full 1 oz was a daunting purchase but fully worth it. The smell is comforting and an old type of sweet that lived up to expectations. The bottle is tactile, and the spritz is high quality.
I started with the sample size Jon+Martin and loved it so much I got the 10 ml spray!
It smells like my childhood living with a pipe smoking bookworm. It's light and fresh, not overpowering, and lasts for hours. I also received a sample of Twilight Witch. The scent wasn't my jam, but my 14 year old said that's how they imagine the 90's smelled and loves it. Everything was packaged really well and I like the added touch of the informative cards that are included.
A lovely, soothing scent that is just like enjoying a cup of milky tea in a room of old books. The only trouble is that my skin eats this. The fragrance becomes a skin scent within half an hour, but remains a skin scent for a full 24 hours.
i freaking love this perfume. my wife got me the hydration starter set in jon + martin last year, and i absolutely adored the scent - i wear the hair oil every day - and i bought a full bottle the second i could! i get mad compliments on it. i sell tea, so i wear it to markets to compliment the whole theme. i didn't think a perfume based on a horror podcast could be so comforting!
The scent notes mentioned books and tea, but what I got from this was more of a nice warm vanilla. That said, it lasted all day and is still very pleasant
Checked them out because of adds on podcasts I love and ordered samples of those collaborations and fell in love with this one immediately. Only caveat this one seems very muted after application given a little time to sit. Not good or bad, some might say more intimate. Also the samples I've been set free the couple orders I've made have been very solid picks for me personally.
So, I came across this scent by total accident and I am OBSESSED.
Notes of tea and cream, a touch of leather and books. On me, it takes on an undertone of vanilla and becomes very sweet and somewhat earthy. It's absolutely divine. It smells like an old academic institution's library. Very dark academia. Cozy and warm, yet sophisticated and polished. I WILL be purchasing the 1oz bottle because this tester will absolutely not be enough for me
wanting to try the magnus archives perfumes after hearing the ad reads for them while listening to the show is what finally got me to try sucreabeille, and i'm so happy i did. jon & martin is honestly signature scent status for me. i want to wear it every single day, i can't live without it. it's so cozy and comforting and warm. once i get the $ for it, i'm definitely going to splurge on the full size bottle of this perfume.....or maybe two of them, just to be safe 😅 i don't ever want to be without this scent!!!!!
I love the softer easier scents. The sharper ones, like ex altaria is too much for me. The only thing I don’t like is how expensive the samples are. I’d love to sniff them all. I have bought a few rollers that I’m not a fan of. Altogether I adore Jon and Martin.
I just got a sample of Jon and Martin, and I love it. I think I’m going to buy the 1oz bottle once I use up some of my other perfume samples. Great scent, amazing company!
Prefacing this by saying I only started getting into perfumes very recently, so just know that if my description is kind of bland or basic, it's because I have no idea what I'm doing lol. This was a blind buy and one of my first full-size purchases and it did not disappoint. It's got the sweet, milky tea scent right up front which is so delicious (seriously, sometimes I catch a whiff of myself and it's like I turn into a cartoon character floating by my nose on the little scent waves), then the books come through and it's so so cozy. I was a little nervous about the book aspect of the scent, I wasn't sure what to expect but it's honestly really true to life and it reminds me of wandering through a used book store. It's got really good longevity as long as I moisturize before applying. This has become my everyday go-to scent and I think I'll cry if it's ever discontinued/retired.
jon & martin is probably the best perfume scent that i’ve ever come across, it really does smell like a cozy, warm home. i was doubtful i would like it at first because im not the biggest on tea scents, but it blew me away. its gentle and sweet, but it is very noticeable nonetheless! i plan on buying the larger size as soon as i am able :-)

Love love love Jon and Martin!! I tried ex Altiora but it was too medicinal and sharp for me. However, I am a die hard fan of The Magnus Archives and couldn’t resist ordering this one.
I absolutely adore this scent. It’s the perfect combination and so calming. The only complaint I’d have is that it doesn’t last very long. Otherwise I’m completely in love!

I got this small tester bottle of Jon and Martin and I absolutely love it. It definitely is the perfect scent for the duo and I'd imagine what The Archives smell like!
I asked a couple months before ordering about being able to ship to my country (international rules and regulations are a pain, and I understand that). I got an extremely kind reply, and of course the update arrived some time later that shipping was now available.
Did I take a risk? Totally. Ordering the full bottle without sample? Always a risk. Following the instructions, now is the time that I can truly make a comment on the scent. I let it sit as instructed, and kinda forgot about it.
The scent is so warm. Like, literally, it's pretty cool here atm, but the scent just feels like warmth, the sweetness not overwhelming me. It's soothing and quite rich. Can I pick out all the scent notes? No, I'm not a perfume afficionado, but it's pleasant to me. I tend to choose it on days now where I can sense stress coming already to help ease my mind.
Another customer brought to Suc by my love of TMA. So glad I treated myself to a sample of this. Bought the bottle 2 weeks later. This isn't a particularly strong scent but it is so cozy and comforting. Exactly like curling up with a hot cup of tea and a good book next to your favorite person in the world. On me, it's faintly floral but mostly just clean and fresh. One of my favorite scents ever. Will definitely buy again.
My favorite podcast and some of my favorite scents! A very approachable, beautiful, pleasant smell of robust black tea, a hint of cream, and the echoes of long-shelved tomes with even darker, esoteric things writhing in their pages. I bought the full bottle because it's as delicious as it sounds - the perfume and the plot. I cannot say enough good things about this sumptuous and deceptively cozy smell.
It smells exactly how it's described, like a cup of vanilla black tea and smells a little sweet and rich. I didn't think I was going love it as much as I do, it's definitely one of my go to every day scents. As a Magnus fan, the bottle is absolutely to die for! Also Ive found personally that the wear time lasts about 8+ hours on skin and even more so on clothes. This is my first time getting a quality perfume, I'd say this is totally worth it.♡♡♡
I honestly really love the scent of this perfume! It’s perfect for me! The only reason I put 4 stars is the fact that the bottle isn’t quite as advertised. In truth, I bought it because I loved the engraving on the bottle and thought even if I don’t like the scent, I’ll just keep it for the aesthetic, but it looks like whatever color they put on barely stayed. It’s so faded, not nearly as vibrant as it is in the pictures.
Severely disappointed with this sample. I ordered an EDP sample, and should have received that. However, this sample is clearly a perfume oil. I've been using EDP's and oils from this house and can't be fooled. Furthermore, the scent is barely there. I dislike perfume oils for their low throws as is, and this scent is so subtle, I can only detect a trace of tea that fades in less than 5 minutes on moisturized skin. I can also smell the coconut oil in this of the carrier itself, not good when you can smell the carrier over the scent itself. This perfume rested for over 3 months as well. This sample was NOT worth the $10.
I had some trouble initially but I think it was only because my state had just gotten hit by a hurricane the week my package was supposed to ship! Shannon was the person who helped me figure everything out and she was super sweet. She ended up telling me they'd just send another because of everything going on and I'm so glad because this perfume is by far one of the best scents ever. It's only been about a week or so, but even if the scent hasn't fully developed it's amazing. I put a little bit on a hoodie of mine and it lingers for days! I'm for sure ordering a full size whenever I'm able to. The package came with some cute stickers and another sample(!?)
Jon and Martin smells like a nice sort of musk. I definitely smell hints of tea (maybe not as much old books, but something just as wonderful!) the scent totally lives up to its name and is feeding my hyper-fixation very nicely.
I've never really gotten into perfume before but this changes that for sure.
After falling in love with the Magnus Archives and bingeing through episodes, I only thought it fit to try out its scent when I heard about it. I’ve never been much of a perfume guy before, but I was very satisfied with it once it arrived. Not too strong, great scent, and I’ll definitely consider coming back for more in the future
