A bird? A man? Or just a lil moth guy?
Being a moth guy is unusual, but generally pleasant. Of course, reputation-wise, things could be a little better. Piggy-backing off of the moth's reputation wasn't the best move, people are not always crazy about moths. Imagine if he was called "butterfly man." Totally different PR scenario. Anyway, the truth is that most of the sightings really are sandhill cranes and guys in cheap Halloween costumes. The moth man is strictly nocturnal and I beg you, why on earth would a moth guy spend ANY time strutting across rural roads at night (Okay the bright lights are a little tempting, I admit, but still). The glowing red eyes are an unavoidable byproduct of spending too much time staring at the sun. Imagine how you would look if you just laid out all Summer and looked up all day (the sun is the ultimate flame, the deity we strive to touch... if only for one... second...).

Just a Lil Moth Guy surprised me. It came up one day as a new fragrance, and the notes sounded interesting, so I included it with a larger order as a sort of risk. At first sniff I was wary as I couldn't discern the different notes yet. I let it sit for a few weeks and BAM, it was like a fresh sugar cookie with all the different spice notes showing up as supporting players. Surprised me, and love it!
The notes on this one made it sound like it would be really nice, and a friend loves mothman, so this seemed like a flawless Christmas gift (spoiler: it was). When it showed up, curiosity got the better of me, so I had to take a little sniff sniff, and then immediately went and ordered another bottle for to keep for myself. Sweet, spicy, it's just so good!
Mothman is the love of my life. And I think this is a perfect tribute to my favorite Cryptid. I love the art on the bottle and I love you Mothman. Also HOW is it possible to convey the warmth of flannel in a scent?? What is this sorcery.
Is it possible to smell adorable? Just a lil guy smells adorable and looks adorable. I love him and I'm keeping him.
