Sasha dug her little hand into the dry earth again and again. Her knees ground the front of her sundress into the dirt, but she didn't care. She was only 5 after all, and she didn't think 5 year olds needed to worry about this type of thing. The lilac bush towered over her and hummed with honey bees, and it being the height of the season, the fragrant little petals were sprinkled all around her. She had bits of pink and purple in her hair (and to be honest, some of the dirt too). If anyone had asked her, she may not have had a particularly good reason for digging this hole, only that this is the sort of thing tiny humans are prone to do when left unattended in the backyard. As her excavation expanded, the breeze picked up a little and more lilac petals sprinkled down around her. Then Sasha felt the first prick of a raindrop fall right into the part in her hair. She looked up and saw that a rain cloud was creeping across the sky, inching towards her, and a heavy wet curtain was sweeping across the landscape. She gave a little sniff as more and more drops fell around her. She was tiny and didn't know much about the fragrance (to be honest, she didn't even know why she was sitting outside in a hole), but what she did know is that it smelled GOOD. It smelled wild and sweet and safe. She wanted to smell this forever! Sasha picked up a handful of the lilac studded mud and smeared it across the front of her dress. She smiled and put another glob on her left arm. Soon she was the embodiment of a baby mud deity, proof that the only thing holding us back from regular, blissful mud baths, is growing up.
Note: Beth, who has blended some of our most popular fragrances, also has a scent named Crux in her shop, Overmorrow, though these scents are very different takes on. the same concept! Click here to shop her version. If the link doesn't work, it's because the shop is currently offline and closed to orders. The link will only work when the shop is up and running, so try again in the future!
