Ripe green apples and pomegranate, a steaming cup of vanilla chai tea, a cedarwood bonfire, snow-covered fir needles and bitter juniper berries, warm amber, incense, and copal resin.
Axial tilt is the reason for the season. That’s right: It’s solstice time! There are two solstices each year: One that marks the shortest day of the year, and another six months later that marks the longest day of the year. We wanted a scent to celebrate either or both solstices, since you can’t have one without the other. There’s no shortest without the longest; no light without the dark; no summer without winter. You get the picture. Let us celebrate all the highs and lows in our lives with a scent that’s perfect any time of year.
Scent Notes: Ripe green apples and pomegranate, a steaming cup of vanilla chai tea, a cedarwood bonfire, snow-covered fir needles and bitter juniper berries, warm amber, incense, and copal resin.
I absolutely love this company. Holy Solstice does this scent take me back to high-school bonfires where I'd dream I was actually a fairy but some how was switched at birth by brownies to be raised with the mortals. It's powerful, not in the sense that it is strong. I makes me feel a powerful as I am. The slight fruit notes from the pomegranate, juniper berries (which actually smell delightful and nothing like Junipers) but I don't get apples. I totally get a bit of vanilla chai on the dry down. In fact, it smells so good, I went back after 2 hours and sprayed more on myself. Don't worry, I work from home so my EDP/Oil doesn't bother anyone.
This came with my advent calendar set but it hadn't been released yet. As soon as it came out, I jumped on the 1oz bottle! The fruity scents die down a little and the other earthy scents come through for an amazing, sultry scent that's slightly sweet and a little spicy. My husband loves it! Hands down one of my favorite Suc scents.
Love this company, first of all. Secondly, solstice- I didn't think it could top my favorite scents from Suc, but my Goddess it might be a new favorite. Lightly floral, with a deeply feminine powdery finish to it that's mysteriously sensual, but not in a spicy way. It is like swimming in a forest lake at night with innumerable stars.. the nymphs braiding flowers into your hair, humming enchanting songs that echo into the cool air.
HIGHLY recommend!
oh this one reminded me of cold nights in Colorado and made me so happy and homesick. Right when it arrived it was very prominent pine scent that eventually mellowed out into winter-berries and a hint of campfire smoke. Can't wait for it to settle and see what changes
I bought Solstice on a whim to accompany a few others I wanted to try and it turned out to be one of my favorites ever! Definitely buying a larger bottle because the sample won't be around long.
