Disclaimer: When we started this line years ago, we had no idea we’d soon enough be in a real pandemic. This series is meant as a fun, silly, lighthearted take on the traditional zombie apocalypse narrative. Enjoy!
Scent Notes: A pile of burning maple leaves in a sun warmed meadow at dusk.
The helicopter was flying towards their encampment on autopilot. She breathed a sigh of relief. Kevin started telling jokes to make them laugh, though Mallory was still lying down in the backseat. “Do you think the zombies will follow us? Because they’re dead set on catching us.” She rolled her eyes and scoffed. “But it’s okay,” he continued, “We’ve got a lot of good brains in this helicopter. We can flesh out a plan. It’ll take them a while to get to us, since they all live on dead-end streets.” She started laughing almost without meaning to because of the absurdity of the situation and just how awful the jokes were. “What were the odds that we’d find ourselves in this situation? This is absurd. A zombie apocalypse caused by pumpkin spice. Who wrote this up? I blame them entirely.” “As you should,” Kevin said. “It’s probably marketing material, too. People love Halloween and zombies for entertainment purposes. They go crazy for this stuff starting in, like, July every year. They’re crazy for autumn and anything to do with it, like falling leaves and pumpkins of all sorts. That’s how we got into this mess in the first place: pumpkin spice. Actually putting people into these situations is horrible.” They both sighed and stayed quiet.... Click here to read the rest of the story!
I get some smoke and a tiny bit of the leaves while it's drying, but more than anything I was not prepared for how sweet this would smell, like straight up maple syrup.
So I bought the roller in the oil and loved it so much I had to buy the full size. Since I've gotten it I've wore it almost every day and already I've gotten god thing happening to me
This is exactly the smell of a bonfire in the woods on a chilly night. It’s the tendrils of smoke that surround you while you tell stories to your circle of folks that has gathered. The leaves and earth and fresh air scent is there too. You have a soft flannel shirt on and a blanket on your lap while you sit on a log with the people you love most. It’s a perfect Fall/Winter night.
I got this as a sample with my order of "Jon and Martin" and I'm in love with the scent so much?
It's a musky, ashy sort of sitting around the campfire feeling. There's signs of florals and of bright scents, but then that ever so slight ashen undertone.
I don't understand how high quality all of these perfumes are. After getting a fullsize of Jon and Martin, I aspire to get this one!
I received Sunset Bonfire as a sample, fell in love with it and ordered two rollerballs. I love the ashy scent which conjures autumnal memories of burning leaves, but it has a bit of a top note which I think elevates it, so it's not as deep and dark as, say, Mother of Dragons. Plus I find Sunset Bonfire lasts a good while unlike so many scents that seem to disappear quickly on me.
Out of the bottle, the richness of the maple definitely comes through to the forefront. You can smell the bonfire burning off to the distance. It is quite clean smelling also. The maple wasn’t doing me any favors, but it does mellow out with the fresh leaves and meadowy scent. It all rounds out and combines well together. I would like to wear this to dinner, or a movie date. A nice evening scent.
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite things ever. It lasts all day and well into the evening, and subtly shifts through the hours with me, with one scent or another becoming more prevalent as time goes by. The smoky autumnalness is exactly what I need to get through what better be the last fucking heatwave of 2021 or there will be a reckoning.
This scent reminds me so much of my childhood during the fall/winter nights when me and my family would go hunting! I would always gather the twigs, leaves, and pinestraw to tend the fire and this smells so much like it. I haven't had those nights since I was 13! But thanks to this I'm having them in my heart again!
This scent is amazing!! Reminds me of a type o negative song. "Her perfume smells like burning leaves ". I mean that in the best way possible. Hint of burning leaves, bit of maple. It Is fall in a bottle. Sooo good. Full size is in my future!!
For those Smoke lovers out there, this is the campfire scent you've been looking for. Starts out strongly smokey, then the maple note glides in to soften the acrid start to create a scent that is the essence of Fall. It's really good!
This is the most wonderful thing i have ever experience in my life, My name is Myers Ann, I never thought I will smile again, My husband left me with two kids for one year, All effort to bring him back failed and i was desperate to bring him back home I thought I'm not going to see him again not until I met a lady called Miller on Facebook who told me about a spell caster called Dr.jude, She gave me his email address and mobile number and I contacted him and he assured me that within 48hours my husband will come back to me, i feel happy already when i had that from him, In less than 48hours my husband came back started begging for forgiveness saying it is the devils work, so I'm still surprise till now about this miracle, because it just too real to be real I know so many lady are at there with the same problem of mine but i tell you today that there is a solution for it.for anyone who need his help here it is Email adress; (virgolovespells@gmail.com )or Whatsapp him on +2347051052154 or his website: Virgolovespells.weebly.com
I love the variety and complexity in this blend. In my perfume locket I get the warmth and maple and it has a subtle carry. On my skin I get a lot more of the smoke but still with a subtle comforting, leafy scent underneath. It's a great autumn scent with an inherent sense of nostalgia.
It might be my skin chemistry, but I got no smoke and all maple - specifically artificial maple syrup. The end result smelled like the spices in an Indian restaurant - a lovely scent in its own right, but not what I was going for.
I wanted to love this so badly. I love smoke and the outdoors and bonfires, but I think the maple scent just doesn't play nice with my chemistry. If you like maple, though, you're going to love it!
