A beautiful, bittersweet blend of almond and cherry.
Cyanide is one of the most famous poisons on the planet. It's absolutely lethal, and yet, small amounts of it are found in everyday objects and foods, including tobacco smoke, lima beans, and almonds. Some who have sniffed it have said it smells like bitter almonds. Others have mentioned a cherry scent. Yet even more people have proclaimed it scentless, as not everyone has the ability to detect its specific scent, and not all forms of cyanide even have a scent. But our form of cyanide does indeed have a cherry-almond scent to it.
Cyanide is also used to make paper, plastics, and other textiles. In other words, cyanide is all around you. Is it deadly in every amount? Of course not, but that's what makes it so fascinating. There's minuscule amounts in, or that were used to make, nearly everything around you. Creepy, and also, awesome. Chances are you are absolutely fine, but maybe don't eat any apple seeds or peach pits just to be safe, okay? They also can contain trace amounts of cyanide, and it’s better to be safe than sorry with poisons. Just a friendly suggestion. And because we want to make this perfectly clear: no, this is not a bottle of *actual* cyanide! It’s perfume! (You still should refrain from ingesting it, because perfume isn’t safe to consume, either.)
Scent Notes: A beautiful, bittersweet blend of almond and cherry.
Unfortunately, cyanide did not do it for me! I was surprised because I usually love almond and cherry, but this just smells kind of soapy to me. I'll try to find it another home.
I love the scent of almonds, and I was intrigued by the name, cyanide. I was afraid it would smell like Jergens hand lotion, with the cherry and almond scent but no! First I smelled the almonds. Every once in a while a whiff of cherries. All with a bit of edginess. Love it!
Cyanide is the best fragrance I’ve bought in the last year! I love the richness and the sweetness of the cherries and almonds. I wear it at least three times a week (which is a lot for me)!
I truly wanted to adore this scent because of the name. Besides, Suc is awesome. Okay, my partner Jeff inundates me w how awful perfume is for one - cancer causing, he says. I must never wear it in his home or anywhere near him or on myself b/c I will develop cancer. So, I have to sneak. Childish, considering my age, but I have to sneak it. I applied Cyanide and thought I smelled awesome. Danced around my room, happily loving how I smelled until he came in & asked if I was sick. I replied no, I'm fine. "Then why did you take cough syrup?" How rude! I will try it again: less applied & when he's going out because I thought I smelled wonderful! Bright cherry, which I love.
I love the Cyanide scent! If you love cherries, you have to try this. It's just lovely, fruity cherry with a hint of bitter almond. It lasts a few hours, but not all day (on my skin), but still pretty impressive for a cherry scent. The only reason I am taking a star off is the sprayer on the bottle. It arrived damaged, and while I eventually got it to spray, it can mever spray straight, so I have to accommodate the angle and hope foe the best, which is frustrating as all heck. I am going to try to decant into a new bottle, but part of the high cost is the lovely bottle design it came with, and it really is lovely. Sigh...
I have to be careful choosing scents due to my allergies, so the tiny samples are a sweet way to test if something will play nicely with my chemistry and not set my lungs or sinuses off. Cyanide is the lovely warm round almond, with a hint of cherry scent that I love. Once upon a time, there was a local small company in part of Pittsburgh that made the absolute best most glorious bars of soap.
I most enjoyed their Almond soap. This scent is a beautiful memory for me.
Got this in a 5-pack rollerball. I was hoping for something like TF's Lost Cherry. This isn't that. It's all almonds & that's all I smell in the bottle & on my skin. Which to most people, smells like nothing. Soups disappointed, pass.
I am a huge almond lover but this perfume hated my skin. At first application it was giving cough syrup and then on the dry down it got worse. This perfume smells exactly like the Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction Scent my sister used in high school in 2010. I was not a big fan of that smell at all to say the least.
I just ordered 5 roller balls, one tried and true and 4 new options hoping for something a little more summery than my warm, spicy go-tos. I was most skeptical of cyanide, but it is absolutely amazing. Sweet but not cloying, fresh but sexy. I didn’t expect to fall so hard for this scent!
Cyanide is my new daily scent! The scent lasts forever on clothes in the best way, and getting a little hit on scent randomly throughout the day is so nice! It’s fruity sweet and a little nutty with a fresh brightness to it! Also the name just makes it.
